Pench Safari Timings
Pench normally operates morning and afternoon drives, with entry and exit moving through the season to follow daylight.
On the Maharashtra side, notified slots range from about 5:30–9:30 AM in late summer to 6:30–10:30 AM in winter. Always follow the time printed on the permit.
How to Reach Pench
Nagpur is the most convenient airport for Turia and the Maharashtra gates. Jabalpur and Seoni are useful alternatives for the eastern Madhya Pradesh entrances.

Forest department rules
- Carry the same original photo ID used for the permit; names and document numbers must match.
- Follow the naturalist and driver at all times. Do not leave the vehicle or ask wildlife to be approached.
- Keep voices low, never feed animals, and take all litter back out of the reserve.
- Avoid flash photography and drones. Commercial equipment may require separate permission.
